Cybertruck too heavy and too fast for the UK

-That sounded easy but man there is ALOT of trucks up here.
I was on freeways and highways most of the day today. Places such as here. Nice ride around Lake Tahoe.

I was counting pickup trucks not being used as trucks VS trucks being used as a truck (in ways that I can see).

After seeing at least 30 coming the other way. Two of them were being used a truck and one of those was towing an empty carrier of some type, but I assume it was either used as a truck or soon will be. The other had a bed full of junk. I could not tell if any of them were EV. I did not see a single Cybertruck all day, but I saw many Telsa cars.

I did not see even one pickup truck towing today.

Also, several pickup trucks passed me (they are the fastest drivers out here by far). None of those were being used as a truck,

Now that I have checked, I have to say a lot fewer pickup trucks are used as trucks than I previously thought. Two for the entire day out on the road here.

Well 4 out of 30 is 13%. Like you said it varies depending on location. And of course no one is ALWAYS loaded or towing. So many are still used as a truck from time to time.

Two out of 30 (I was describing the two I saw, wasn't additional) , so make that 6.5% tops. I am sure I saw a lot more than 30 today, but after that I was no longer counting.

Agreed. Even mine gets used as a truck once every few years or so to carry something that won't fit in my cars. However, I rarely drive it when I am not using it as a truck. Sometimes I use it to go to hiking trails in the Reno area and stuff like that, but that doesn't require a truck at all. I try to go through a tank of gasoline once per year in it.

I can remember one time it was used a lot, several years ago (2021) when I sold my third and smallest house in Cold Springs Valley, NV. Was used to move a lot of junk out of it.

Pickup trucks are handy when you need them. But for me, it is once every few years at the most.

How many times do you see a van or big SUV with just the driver. Americans have always enjoyed their big gas guzzling cars and trucks. When I was growing up we always had either a big Buick or Oldsmobile. And we never went anywhere. And it used to be a family only had one car. Now everybody has to have their own. Family of five has five cars parked out front.
