Hey Sarge, interesting that you say a “drill motor”
I was down in Houston once doing some work and asked a tech for a drill as ours had run out of battery. He said what size, to which I replied doesn’t matter, 3/8” or 1/2” works…
He came back with a 3/8” drill bit and a1/2” drill bit…
(I had a bit in my hand to tap a #10 hole).
That’s when I found out folks from the south call the thing you plug in and squeeze the trigger a drill motor, where we up north call it a drill, and the skinny thing you stick in the end is a bit…

Rene, bleach is awfully hard on plastic plumbing!

RV plumbing is PEX, ABS, polyethylene, and Santoprene in valve "seals" – all of these are bleach tolerant. No need to worry.

1/4c old fashioned bleach per 15 gallons of tank capacity, let sit for 8-12 hours if possible. It would clean out any nasties in the shower lines.

1/4 cup bleach per 15 gal of water is 50 ppm chlorine concentration as recommended in NFPA 1192. This standard also suggests 1/2 cup bleach per 15 gal water (100 ppm) if needed . . . OP's case.

Yeah, me too Bill. I have always just said "drill" but I was trying for clarity just for the reason you described!

For your city connection pour bleach down the hose, then hook up to the city connection and turn the water on for a few seconds and turn off.

Or you can use the onboard pump while sanitizing. With no pressure in the lines, use a pencil and open the check valve where you connect the city water hose. Then start the pump and when you smell the bleach just let the check valve close

Having lived in Oklahoma and Mississippi for 74 years I have never heard of a drill being called a drill motor. And being confused with a drill bit. But having lived in Oklahoma for 48 of those years I can verify that Texans are very confused people

Gee when I told someone to do that I got yelled at (By an idiot) who claimed you will ruin the valve.. .No. you won't. but if something got into the valve and is keeping it from closing you just might FIX it.
