Get out a hair dryer, turn the refer off, lay a towel in the freezer and blow hot air on the freezer coils until the frost is gone. Wipe out the freezer, turn the refer back on, let it cool down and replace the frozen food. Since it's quick, even my ice cream remains frozen when I put it back into the freezer.

I wonder what their reasoning is....I can't imagine it doing any harm. Of course I'm not a pro, only been RVing for 40 years.
