I'm thinking of taking it out completely.  It is taking up space on the only big area of countertop.  My only concern is appearance.  There isn't any border behind it like around the rest of the counter and I imagine there are screws into the counter.

A little shed sitting on the kitchen counter to hold appliances, supposedly to make your kitchen look less messy. I have never seen one in a RV, but they were common 15-20 years ago in home kitchens. OP doesn?t say what kind of RV he or she has.

In my home, the appliance garage sits on the countertop and is screwed into the upper cabinet and back splash.  I know - I installed it.

At home, it is a nice feature, but the total counter space is much larger.  In a RV, I think I would agree to make it disappear.

Consider a new border for the entire area or a tile accent in that corner.

Google is my friend. I didn't know what one was either.
Looks exactly like the one we had in the house we designed in Redding.  Loved it!  Not sure I would ever want it in our current 5th wheel, however.  Eats up a lot of much needed counter space.

Sorry, I thought it was a common item.  Here is a picture I borrowed with the same floor plan as mine.  It looks like a lot of workspace, but there really isn't.  To the left of the sink is about 8 inches and in front of the appliance garage is only about 12 inches.  There is a nice space to the right of the sink but I have to walk around to the far side of the peninsula to use it.  I never use the appliance garage.  The people who owned the trailer before us kept their coffee maker in it.

I still see them being put into houses and I will put one in my kitchen.  But like Tom and Margie said, they just take up too much space in the trailer.  I saw in the newer models that KZ is still putting them in though.

Seems like a good idea in that the appliances stay in place while traveling.

I put most appliances, pots and pans in the lower cabinet in box lids.  Never had one move.

I'm one of those people who hate it when someone else tries to arrange my storage spaces and that would apply to an appliance garage in both our house and the motorhome.  Besides, it would be my luck that whatever I wanted to put in it wouldn't fit anyway!  Personally, I'd ditch it and do a little remodeling to hide the damage.
