It is built by an Italian company VM Motori - which is 50% owned by Fiat which now owns Chrysler....

Sounds like a winner to me and also that it can be boosted up for some more HP if needed. Maybe they will do that for the truck.

Apparently the other half is owned by GM?

Regardless, hopefully, Dodge also ups the payload rating a bit on their 1500-series with Diesel. Something equivalent to Ford's HD Payload package would be very nice.

I notice it seems to be a hi-revving engine for a diesel. Peak horsepower is at 4000 RPMs max (torque at 2000).
