A few years a go when I first began burning CD's the wisdom of the time pointed me to Nero Burning ROM as the most versitile and reliable software for the purpose.

Here we are, three years later, and i wonder if Nero continues to be the best or has Roxio or something else surpassed Nero.

Nero 6 Ultra  has added several plug ins, but my experience with some has been disappointing.  Nero Vision has consistently failed to support my TV capture card with every update, yet the card is supported by other software I have tried.

Is Nero losing its edge?

I never did try Nero, Steve.  I'm still using Easy CD Creator 5 Platinum--it does all that I need.

Was yours the full version or a light version supplied by your computer builder?  I began with a light version which was very limited and at the time everyone on the Forum was raving about Nero, so I switched.  Now I wonder if there is reason to reconsider?

Interesting - my perspective is the opposite. I used Roxio for years and still have V5 installed. Never thought much of Nero. But several months ago I tried Nero Suite 6 and was quite pleased withthe degree to which it had improved.  I now use Nero almost exclusively for burning chores, especially DVDs.
