Does Suburban water heater make any noise when on electric?

Just replaced the water heater and we can't tell if it is heating on electric.  Does it usually make any noise at all or is it totally silent?

Mine is silent as far as I can tell

Thanks Isaac.  Lee just discovered the valve was put in backwards, so now he is doing that and then we'll try it again.
