Dometic Connect Essential thermostat

I recently installed two new Dometic Fresh Jet 5 air conditioners with heat pumps on my Tiffin Allegro Bus. The units are amazing. However, the Connection Essential thermostat is terrible! I am told it is the only one that will work with the new units. Well, it barely works! It is the most user unfriendly thermostat one could imagine. It does not show which zone is on. It does not remember settings between modes in order to change temperature or change zones. You have to go through many gyrations. It is a real pain.
Does anyone know of any other thermostat that will work? I looked at micro air and they have nothing.
Does anyone know if Dometic is coming up with anything different as I am sure that I am not the only one that has a problem.

I have never used them, but Micro-Air makes a whole line of replacement thermostats. The 350 series are multi-zone units while the 351 series are single zone.

In your situation, I would be looking at them. If you don't see something that will work, call them, I'm sure they can point you in the right direction.

Is this the one from Escobee? Have you gone to their tech support website and downloaded the instructions?
