I had the "Cowboy Pork Ribs", the first under Entrees. They gave me about four times what I could eat, so I let Anne and Mike have a piece and then I ate what I could and took the rest home.

They serve it with a butter knife, which was overkill. Notice the cheap plastic knife I am now using for my leftover lunch, it is about as tender as butter.

This is about 25% of what they served. It is unusual and tastes great.
Mike & Anne had the Market and the Sirloin Steak and shared them.

What is left of my Cowboy Pork Ribs for my lunch today:

Where next?
The Gilbert Ray Campground in Tucson. I recall you have been there before.

I normally stay at the Western Way RV Park a few miles south of it across from Tucson Estates. But I have ridden my motorcycle up to Gilbert Ray from there and I think I will enjoy being more out in that scenic part of the desert.

It is a beautiful spot! Enjoy. There are a few crested Saguaros in the area if you are interested in those.

There are a few. One at the Desert Museum left of entrance. One on the park road and a couple are a drive away that I know of. If I have any coordinates I'll message them.

You're 25 miles from the Titan missile museum where you can plug into their HF discage antenna from the parking lot.

I noticed on Plugshare there are plenty of places to charge on the way down there. I have not seen the Titan Missile Museum, I will probably take a ride to it from Gilbert Ray. I am glad you mentioned it.

Personal connection with that, in the USAF I was a Titan site comm tech. So I got to play for real in the level 2 and 3 of the command center of most or all the Titan sites around Wichita. One of the previous curators of the museum was WA7ZZE of Heathkit fame, and I think he was the guy that promoted the restoration of the discage antenna for use by hams. The KS sites employed KWM2's for HF, and I had an opportunity to work HF from down below on a couple of occasions. I didn't get to see the museum until about 20 years ago but when starting the tour the guide asked if there were any Titan vets in the group. I raised my hand and he declared that I was now the tour guide (!). There were a few equipment differences than I remember between the KS sites and the museum (much of their stuff is just pictures of what was there) but what struck me was the smell - a distinct aroma of hydraulic oil or "machinery" that was hard to forget. And, the distinct lack of noise, the active sites were humming with the sound of blowers and pumps. A couple years ago I stayed at the Titan Ranch, a site just north of Little Rock that a guy bought and turned into a bed and breakfast, and RV park. It was gutted and converted to a conference center and some overnight accommodations so nothing like what it was, a huge effort. It was fun to tour and describe to the owner what it was like to work in one. Google 'death wears bunny slippers' for a diversion.

It's raining rather hard this morning here right now at the Gilbert Ray. Came so fast that I got wet as well as my motorcycle when I was trying to put the rain cover on it.
