Our Sunstar has a ducted roof air conditioner. Through one of these forums, I learned that it has a filter. (I remember that the unducted ones on our Suncruiser had filters as well.)

I don't suppose the PO ever cleaned ours in the 4 years they had it.

Interestingly, only half of the filter is used. In pinch (AKA on the road) I could just rotate it 180 degrees and reinstall. It's easy to remove the grill, only 4 screws hold it to the ceiling.

I just keep an eye on my filters and change them as needed. A clogged/dirty filter will greatly reduce how well your AC works. You can buy more filter material at Walmart and keep some spares (cut to size) for a quick change out. Most of the filters can be washed and reused.

Walmart??? I can't see to find it. Mine is 8 years old and I want to replace it. It's just a piece of foam.

Mine is similar to a large piece of scotch bright. I try to clean it after every vacation. Last time I noticed the evaporator coils were "fuzzy" so I got my shop vac and cleaned 'em. Seems more stuff gets past the "filter" than I would've thought.

I've cleaned my Coleman a couple times  And the other one several times (The other one is older)  I did not do much cleaning this winter. but then I did not do much USING.. Seem to recall using it more in the past.

One of the A/C issues I hear of is water dripping from the intake. now there are 3 or 4 possible causes.  Clogged passage. Cracked drip tray. RV is "nose down" enough to make the front edge of the tray the lowest point or

CLOGGED FILTER the blower is sucking the water up out of the tray  IF THIS is the cause when the blower shuts down  NIAGRA FALLS as it were.  Amazing how much water that thing can suck up. Literally Suck up.
