I was born in San Diego in 58. When I was in grade school in the early/mid-60's it seemed to be almost a daily occurrence that my family would be eating at the table - breakfast or supper - and the hanging light above would start swaying a little from a minor temblor. My mom or dad would just reach up and hold it for a few seconds then let it go.When I first transferred to our company HQ in Santa Clara, my office was on the second floor. For folks old enough to remember, these were the days when we had microfiche. It was nearly impossible to look at images on the uf reader on my desk because it was constantly moving.
