We have become aware of a sales and escrow service scam that is referenced in posts taken from our site and edited to improve the scammy companies credibility. They have been posted to what looks like a legitimate forum but if you look at the url of the site you will find that it's spoofed. These scams are fairly common in the resale market and I wanted to make you aware so you can be cautious if you are shopping or considering buying or selling an RV.

How it works: If you are in the market and considering using their services you might google them to read reviews. When you do you you will find spoofed review pages that look real often but are on hacked host sites. Typically these trace back to east block countries. We have seen similar companies in the past - same MO. Izaberi, Autorebba, autozirkus and now eAutoEclips Traders who's url is https://eclipscars.com/ - all scam sites.

Many people fall for this because the sites with the reviews look real BUT be sure to check the url of a site when you are reading a review or post. As an example this site has a page that has been stolen from our site and then edited: Does anybody know anything about eAutoEclips Traders?

It has what appears to be recommendation for the scammy business made by experienced and respected members of the site team but in fact if you look at the URL you'll see it is not our url and the member posting the initial question has not logged in to our forum for several years. Posts were copied from our site, edited to put in false information and then are rehosted on this fake forum. The site appears to be hosted in Romania and we are working with authorities to have it taken down.

These scams have become very common in the past few years and even the bbb has gotten involved. Good reading here: Virtual vehicle vendor scams: BBB study reveals a growing scam using fake cars and escrow companies to steal from unwitting consumers

Be cautious when shopping online. Seemingly legit looking companies may not be.
