Electric Step issues

Hello all. It's been awhile since I posted. Happy Holidays! I have lost the power to my Kwikee electric steps! No power at all! The orange light is off too. I have a 2005/6 Fleetwood Pace Arrow motorhome. We had been traveling over some bumpy roads, so maybe something jarred loose. But I cannot find anything obvious. But I checked the 4-way plug underneath where the steps plug in and when I checked the red wire for 12v, it was dead! I suspect a blown fuse or a tripped breaker but cannot find either one. Can anyone clue me in on where I might find the fuse? I checked the fuse box under the hood and every fuse is good. I have not been able to locate an in-line fuse in the power cable. Help?

Kwikee Products Service Training Manual has an excellent trouble-shooting section. I think most are fused through the acc fuse.
Have you checked the wiring hooked to the battery yet. Kwikee steps are always hot, the controller switches the ground. This means both ground wires must be clean and tight for operation. Don't forget to inspect the door switch connections too, it's all in the manual.

There is probably another fuse panel located near the driver's seat and below the dash. It could well be located there. What chassis do you have?

one of my friend has similar issue and
he call out nearest electrician from sherbrookelectricien.ca and the problem got fixed but i would like to try DIY fix so please share your suggestions. Thank you

You’re on the right track, one thing to check is the fuse specific to the step motor, which might be hidden near the step assembly. Also, ensure the ground connections are clean and tight, as a loose ground can cause power issues. If you haven’t already, try resetting the control box or checking the door switch for proper operation.

Unwrap the harness at the 4 wire connector. There should be an inline fuse on the red wire.
