Hi,
We just got our camper yesterday. It is a 1997 Lance. Hubby can do.lots of things, but not.good at electrical. For some reason, 3 of the 5 outlets aren't working. We may have to have someone do it, but thought I would see if anyone has had that problem. We have tried all the common things, but not helpful. The other thing is, we just have a 2000 generator for the moment, and wondering if that could possibly be an issue?I
Thanks, Sherree

Welcome to the forum. Look around for a GFCI. The outlets which are not working, may be protected by a GFCI outlet and it may have tripped. The outlets which are not working, are they by chance outside and near a sink?

Welcome to the RV Forum Sherree

As Rene said check the GFCI outlets. Also When you checked the breakers....Did you turn them off and then back on? Sometimes they will appear to be OK but when you turn it off you will notice that it was tripped.

Welcome to the forum. The electricity is not that hard. But, since your husband is a novice, it's probably best and safest to hire an electrician to track down and fix the problem. The electrician can explain how the system works as he/she repairs it. Have you checked all the fuses? Have you pushed the reset button on all the GFCI outlets to the on position?

Your RV has 2 electrical systems, alternating current (ac) which is the type of electricity in your house and direct current (battery type electricity). Here are a some links with simple explanations of both systems in an RV.

In case you are not familiar with a GFCI outlet this video explains it.

If a GFCI outlet has tripped no outlets connected to it will work.
