Morning folks-Been using land electric power for months.Thought that I would start engine to recharge and move thinks around a little. No good-nothing-nada.Test level button on wall near the bathroom shows all batteries charged.
Removed stair cover to expose battery housing-lots of battery acid corrosion on battery used to start engine positive terminal-very little on negative terminal-cleaned all that up and worked on house batteries also-a little corrosion on them.
Tried again this morning-no dice-dead.Flipped aux switch on dash board-nope.Also always keep Aux Battery switch near door on.
Questions-can I jump start-safely using cables from my Jeep ?
do I need to invest in trickle charger or quicker charger -what brands and what size to use ?
Will be here near Asheboro living in unit for a north Carolina winter. So far so good.
02 Winnebago-Sightseer-w/ Triton v12 engine
as always thanks all for any advise/help that you can offer.

You can use your jumper cables. Sounds like your chassis starting battery is completely dead. You could connect the house batteries and chassis battery together with a jumper for awhile to let the converter put some charge in the starting battery. You could use your booster cables for this. You would only need to connect the two positive terminals together. Once you have a little charge back in the starting battery, use the booster cables and boost from the Jeep with it running. You might need to replace the starting battery.

Yes, you need a trickle charger for the chassis battery if you park long term on shore power. Your Sightseer does NOT charge the chassis battery from shore power or generator.

Thanks to all who responded this morning.
I think that I will go with the chassis battery replacement option.
Any battery brands particularly good these days?-been awhile since I last purchased one.
Do I need to disconnect shore power cable during the battery change?
If so do I run the fridge on propane if I have to disconnect?
Any tips on full timing during a central North Carolina winter.
Again thanks so much for your help.
Jeff
