If you own an EPIRB Emergency Position Indicating Rradio Beacon, it needs to be registered with NOAA so that someone can be notified in the event that your beacon is deployed. The registration for the beacon also needs to be updated when changes occur or every two years. All these functions can now be achieved online at http://www.beaconregistration.noaa.gov/.
Don't own a beacon, but need one for a short trip? You can rent them from BOATUS.
Don't know which EPIRB you need? Get more info from a leading manufacturer.
