Oh good grief. Finding on line and ordering from eBay is a far cry from going down the street to your local parts house and buying it off the shelf.
I am still more likely to buy online, even for my ICE vehicles, so it's NBD--at least not to me.Oh good grief. Finding on line and ordering from eBay is a far cry from going down the street to your local parts house and buying it off the shelf.
Everything on any vehicle is replaceable in some way--if you can find the part. And the shop to do it, such as a tranny. I don't think many replace or rebuild trannies in their own garage. My little-used Dodge Ram Truck has had three tannies since I owned it. The tanny is the weak point in the Rams. What are you talking about? I am driving a 24 year old Jeep and a 21 year old RV.....Sold an 12 year old Ram 1 ton because I didn't need a heavy truck anymore. Everything on it was replaceable.
Sounds like a driver problem not a vehicle problem.Everything on any vehicle is replaceable in some way--if you can find the part. And the shop to do it, such as a tranny. It was also replaced in my Y2k RV.

Back before Tom & I bought that Truck, I asked in an auto forum what were common problems with the Dodge Rams. Many said the tranny, But still not that bad, as I think it now has close to 200,000 miles on it (not sure and no way to check from here, unlike my Tesla). IOW, three trannies and perhaps 200,000 miles mean they last longer than 66,666 miles each, and I do not expect the tranny in it now to fail any time soon, as it doesn't have many miles on the last one. That truck is rarely used these days. I try to go through a gas tank perhaps twice per year with it.Sounds like a driver problem not a vehicle problem.

It still has the original 5.2L engine.
