EV-Phobia is getting worse!

Oh good grief. Finding on line and ordering from eBay is a far cry from going down the street to your local parts house and buying it off the shelf.

I am still more likely to buy online, even for my ICE vehicles, so it's NBD--at least not to me.

For obvious reasons, I am usually in no hurry to get any of my vehicles fixed. YMMV.

You kill me. It’s not all about YOU. It’s a conversation/discussion about availability for parts and service. Not your personal preferences and retired multi vehicle situation with no hurries or worries.

What are you talking about? I am driving a 24 year old Jeep and a 21 year old RV.....Sold an 12 year old Ram 1 ton because I didn't need a heavy truck anymore. Everything on it was replaceable.
Everything on any vehicle is replaceable in some way--if you can find the part. And the shop to do it, such as a tranny. I don't think many replace or rebuild trannies in their own garage. My little-used Dodge Ram Truck has had three tannies since I owned it. The tanny is the weak point in the Rams.

It was also replaced in my Y2k RV.

I had 4 Ram trucks and now a Jeep(Stellantis). I have not had any transmission trouble and I towed with all of them. For the most part I can fix my own vehicles. I would not choose to do a transmission or motor at my age. But I can. And right now the tranny is the weak point in the Fords and Chevys.

Sounds like a driver problem not a vehicle problem.

I worked in a place that used vans for deliveries. The driver shut the motor down every time he stopped.

That van needed the starter replaced every three months.

Back before Tom & I bought that Truck, I asked in an auto forum what were common problems with the Dodge Rams. Many said the tranny, But still not that bad, as I think it now has close to 200,000 miles on it (not sure and no way to check from here, unlike my Tesla). IOW, three trannies and perhaps 200,000 miles mean they last longer than 66,666 miles each, and I do not expect the tranny in it now to fail any time soon, as it doesn't have many miles on the last one. That truck is rarely used these days. I try to go through a gas tank perhaps twice per year with it.

It still has the original 5.2L engine.
