Has anyone had experience re-siding the exterior of your rv trailer with anything outside of the usual? (Aluminum/fiberglass/vinyl siding)

I?m in love with wood planking (like cedar planks) look on the outside of tiny homes. However, since I do not have the funds currently to finance the building of a tiny home, I have settled on an RV trailer remodel. I know I need to take weight into consideration, so just wondering if anyone else out there has restored a 24ft sized rv trailer and changed out the exterior siding for a wood siding for not super pricey/not adding a ton of extra weight?

I suppose you could screw or glue some T111 or similar wood panels over the exterior, but you spend a lot of money for only cosmetic gain and need to be very careful about sealing seams and screw holes and of course make sure it's not going to fall off at highway spees. Plus the weight consideration. It's simply not worth it.
