Hi and happy 4th of july!!  we just got our new bike rack delivered for the front of our travel trailer...wondering if the extra weight will affect our WD hitch?  the rack and mount weigh 90lbs and the bikes weigh around 30 each...will we have to adjust the hitch to compensate?  have the 3/4 Ford HD.

Might affect a little, slide something heavy up front to the rear of the TT.  Adjusting ?  Sometimes I slide a couple large totes of firewood in the front of the TT.  Sags a tad, not enough to change a link on my chains.  I can change the dynamics more with fresh water that I carry.  Basically, after you get everything installed, put it on flat land, and you will know.

Pics please!
I was recently considering a rack but could not find a solution that I liked.
I decided they would mount in the bed in from of the 5er hitch.
But I would like to see how your rack works out.

ok, got it on and adjusted and turned sharp and it works... it is a Bike Bunk from Camping world and a STromberg bike rack from Camping World. we have a topper on the pickup so we slid the bike rack further unto the receiver and drilled a new hole for the pin. welded on two nuts for the big set screws.. and it works..!!

oops,, didn't have to weld the nuts on for the set screws, already on the bike rack receiver part.....this Bike Bunk weighs around 45 pounds, so it is heavy duty...everything sits nice and tight when you drive...very impressed so far..  we couldnt get it back as far as we wanted on the frame, due to the brace for the battery box.. but by sliding the bike rack on further, it works...

Nice, I like that better than hanging them from the back. And you can watch them easier.
