Well after my A-Fib incident. 2 weeks before back surgery, finally home although confined to a hospital bed.
Couple of things I will pass on to those who have not experienced it.

When the ambulance driver ran an EKG, then put 4 aspirin in my mouth and said chew quickly, then sprayed nitro glycerin under my tongue, I really didn't think I was going to make it.

I wound up having 2 back fusions above to one I had 20 years ado. Now L3 is fused to L4 which is fused to L5 which is fused to tail bone.

Things are looking up every day, just wish me luck and maybe I;ll see ya;ll back out on the road this summer.

Word of caution to everyone, Take care of yourself, the consequences ain't no fun.

So glad to hear everything is now on the mend. Been thru a couple of back surgeries and my hubby has too, and he has a fib also. You will be back on the road soon, just take care of yourself, be a compliant patient and make some trip plans! While recovering from my last fusion (March2012) I planned a trip to Upper Penn of Michigan and alot of travel thru Wis and Mich. kept me busy and mind on something other than recovery. We had a wonderful trip.
Take Care and see you on the road soon.

Glad to hear you're home and that things are looking up. Take care!

Good luck on the recovery. Time drags when you're confined like that, but the suggestion of planning trips is a good one. I also go thru the pictures on the computer and put the locations in. It seems to take forever to do that when I can go do other things but absorbs time very nicely when I'm confined to the house. And it gives the wife something to argue with me about as to where that picture was taken. Between the calendar and the date stamp on the picture we can pin it down pretty well.

Don't forget the stretching and the exercises.

Glad you're out Wiz, hospitals are no fun as you know. How long are you confined to bed and get on rehab??

had 4 days in hospital for heart problem, 5 days for back. Confined to bed for three weeks for now but can be up 3 times a day for 1/2 hr. Will have to see after that,

Thanks for the suggestion, been wanting to organize and tag some photo's, think I've got about 5K on this laptop. Should keep me busy far a day or two.
