I just completed a maintenance fiesta on our Super C. I'm not thrilled with our local Freightliner dealer, so I needed a reputable source for quality parts. I'm not a fan of Amazon or Ebay for these things, and I'm not going to wander off-brand or mix brands for important stuff just to save a few bucks.
I sourced the oil locally through Napa Auto Parts, 3x 2.5-gallon jugs of Mobil Delvac 1300 Super 15w40. I wanted 2.5-gallon sizes for ease of transport including the used oil when I was done. Having fluids shipped isn't always economical so that's why I did a local pickup on that one.
Through Finditparts, I was able to find exact replacements for all the various Fleetguard fuel, oil, coolant filters. They had the Detroit-brand fuel/water separator cartridges I needed. The also had a good price on Wabco desiccant cartridges for the air dryer. They had stuff for the generator too but I don't need that right now. Except I did throw in an Onan Oil filter to get me over the threshold for free shipping. And they have a coupon for another $25 off orders over $200 right now.
Anyhow, the parts arrived quickly and were packaged nicely, everything was sealed in bags and had the original protective caps still in place, and I was able to save and print the invoice for my record keeping for the rig's warranty. Thought I'd share my experience, as this is the first big service I've done on our coach - it was daunting, actually, but ended up being super easy. And now I've got a few spare filters to keep around too.
I'm not shilling for them...but as a guy who works on his own stuff, a good parts hookup is always appreciated, so here ya go, if it helps you too!
