I have a 1998 Fleetwood Pace Arrow 36s that I just recently purchased. only problem I'm having is with the liquid level sensor for the jack system. most people have a problem with it coming on when the jacks are up which means they are probably low on hydro fluid. my problem is mine never come on. I have followed the test procedures and my sensor is not working and needs to be replaced. It is a simple "flapper"type sensor which can usually be purchased for around $25 if you can find one that fits. Power gear does not sell to individuals anymore and you have to get it through an authorized dealer. They are asking between $128 to $160 plus shipping for the part I need (500118). does anyone know where I can get a similar part from someone who doesn't try to rob you? Thanks in advance.

Not at this time, but check with me in a few months.

you can try recycleers (the new modern name for RV Junk yards) there is a listing of them in the forum libraries as I recall.. However my expierence in shopping places like that has been less than (or rather more---expensive) then I liked thus I did not make a purchase... Now in other places I've done well shopping that way, but not for RV stuff.

As for the prices for Power Gear stuff..... I fully agree they gouge on parts.  BIG TIME.

Glad to see somebody agrees with me. Haven't been able to buy anything from rv salvage places. They usually tell you they have it and when it comes time to buy and ship they say it just sold! Being an electrical part and several different part #'s for this model I'm not sure they would send the right one. You can't tell just by looking at it. Thanks for your reply. Bob

Have you tried doing a search on E-bay?  Sometimes you will hit on a dealer that is selling parts at reduced prices.  I have had good luck on various parts shopping that way.

Think I have found a solution at www.fluidswitch.com They are sending me two that have the same dimensions as the one in my hydraulic tank to test and check. Sure hope it works. Price is $20 plus shipping. Sure beats $128 to $160 plus shipping from rv dealers. I will post and let everybody know if it works. Thanks Bob

Found a solution! the sensor can be purchased at www.fluidswitch.com Talk to a guy named Bob at extension 310. They can be purchased for $20. You may have to buy 2 as they have a minimum. Bob is familiar with Power Gear Parts and he can tell you what to do to make it fit (very simple) Hope this helps someone if they ever need this part!
