I have run into several folks this winter down here in Florida who say their TV wont work with heir antenna.

That prompted me to hopefully shed some light on why. Your older tube type TV can't pickup "digital" broadcasting. While you were sleeping and your rig parked for a few years, TV changed. That's to say the way it's broadcast changed from analog to digital. All of the flat panel TV sets have "digital" tuners, unlike your old clunker.
So why change them all. The new sets weigh a fraction of the old ones, put out a fraction of the heat, use less electricity, give a much brighter and crisper picture (helpful as your eye sight fades). As you can see, there is not one good reason not to have all newer digital flat screen TVs in your life.

Some coaches don't make it easy to do, but you can buy a less expensive TV at Wally World or some other "discount" place and most car stereo shops will install it for you at a reasonable price. If your youth has escaped, this is likely the way to go. Or con a friend to help you.

Frankly, it''s blown my mind, the number of people with coaches who are doing without TV, because they just don't understand what happened. At home the cable company has taken care of people, but no such luck if you're not tethered to a pole or street pedestal.

Why would it all-of-a-sudden happen this year? The analog shutdown is coming up on 4 years now...
