Again, I'm not familiar with pre 2011 models, but in my shopping, my requirements included Lariat, Adobe leather (NOT black - only 2 choices) with center console. All post 2011 Lariat are either extended cab or crew cab - all 5 or 6 passenger, depending on front seat. As such, the 5 passenger, center console models were fairly common. Adobe was harder to find. I also required factory gooseneck ball. Maybe 20% had this. Other requirements were diesel and 4X4. Hard to find 2WD or gas in F350 Lariat. Those were XL for work trucks.
Bottom line, I only needed one. I kept shopping until "the One" showed up on line.
My 4WD needs have been somewhat frequent, usually at home on grass. When we brought her home, our 20 ft wide road and 12 ft wide drive (no shoulders) were not enough to keep her on pavement. Left side camper tires chose to come across the ditch. Tires slip. Stop, reach down and turn dial to 4X4 Low. Shift to N to allow change, then pull on in without missing a beat.
Our "next door neighbor" is a large empty lot, formerly occupied by a barn and still used by farm equipment to farm the field behind us. As such, it has a 24 ft driveway and culvert. This access road runs parallel to and about 5 ft from our property line. When leaving, I back out onto this farm road, then pull put onto the main road. Coming home, I pull in on this farm road, then into my back yard. Often need the 4X4 Low getting in or out.
