Will do Arch. I'm really needing the extra RAM for when I edit videos. I need to research the RAM speed options before buying the new 2x16.

Meanwhile, I'm also considering adding an M2 SSD (small format) as an internal backup drive, or possibly as a dual boot with a Lunux install.

Went ahead and installed an M.2 SSD and set it up as dual boot (main SSD = Windows, M.2 SSD - Linux). I've been playing around with Linux versions of various Windows apps and importing data: A few surprises/disappointments. Meanwhile, Linux can see and open files on the Win drive, but Windows can't see any files on the Linux drive.

There has to be a way. If you want me to look into other options lmk
Thanks, I'll do some googling. It's not a big issue, since I would want to read/copy files from the Win drive to the Linux drive, and that works just fine.

Buying parts and building a new computer tomorrow. Got it all configured and parts are ordered from Microcenter, just got to go and pick them up and do the build.

Don't need any lighting, liquid cooling, and display case with a lightshow. That stuff ain't my thing. Just want a nice high end solid performance machine. I built the current machine I'm on some years ago and is a Win10 machine and can't be upgraded to Win 11 without hacking the BIOS and registry and I'm too old for that kinda' crap anymore. I'm going to migrate a few drives over the new machine once I get it set.
