Thanks Tom. That is an observation I can understand!Unofficial, non-tech observation - it's of little significance to us as users.

"Unsubscribe" links work fine on legitimate web sites, just don't click any on an obviously scam emailI was hoping to use that to get rid of the NEW emails I am getting from RV life, even though I opted out of getting weekly and monthly emails. I hate that crap.
So..............unsubscribe is BAD to poke on? I need help with this issue.
Thanks to anyone who can help me.
By the way,
I am at 90% zoom on my laptop using microsoft edge, to be able to poke and quote and so forth and so on, so that all the advertisement doesn't block me from seeing and poking stuff.
Tell me what happens when you poke unsubscribe.
Waving at everyone!
Asking this question here also. Thanks.
Have you looked at the selected options in your profile? Click your name in the red bar above and scroll down to Preferences|email options. There's also a couple of links on the last line of the emails:"Unsubscribe" links work fine on legitimate web sites, just don't click any on an obviously scam email
Thanks. I tried that this morning. Hoped it worked."Unsubscribe" links work fine on legitimate web sites, just don't click any on an obviously scam email
I already tried all those ideas to no avail. I am trying unsubscribe nowIf you no longer wish to receive these emails, you may disable emails from this thread or disable all emails.
I have another issue. I have a blank white box that goes the width of the screen at the bottom of the window. I don't care much for the text and such behind it, but on the right side (circled), it blocks the icons that will take you back to the top (or bottom) of the page. I cannot click on it, and I have no idea what the white box is. Any ideas?

I see no X in either corner. I tried to roll my mouse over various areas to see if it was hidden, but no link or anything showed. It is all just blank. I also tried resizing my screen size to see if it would show up, but no dice.
Thanks for posting what you found.I think I got the fix for this, just in case anyone else might run into the same issue.
Thanks for posting what you found.
I use the same Ad Blocker but for whatever reason, haven't seen what you describe, but I'll keep an eye out.
Well, darnit. The white space came back tonight. I changed the setting this time for "This Website", instead of "This Page", and turned it off again. We'll see if it holds this time.
Well double darnit. It came back again today. So, on to the third try. Looking in the settings and such in Adblock Plus, I found one called "Block Element". Clicking on this let me select which specific element to block. I highlighted the offending "white space", then blocked it. It went away again. So now the wait is on to see if it sticks.
I don't know if these posts are helping anyone, but I figure I will keep it up until I succeed, or I get tired of trying. If it helps someone, great. If not, great also.
Thanks for the illustrated report Charles. Hopefully the experts can resolve it.With the ads, here is what happens when I quote a bunch of stuff and possibly need to remove some of the quotes before inserting them in a reply.
The box becomes hidden under the ad and I cannot get to the remove buttons.
I have not found any way to make the box come out on top of the ads.
Other issue is when I am typing in the reply box, and an ad changes, I lose my cursor, I think the ad snatches it, and I discover it, have to place the cursor back in the reply box, click to make it stay there, and start typing from where ever it cut me off at (I may have typed words after it happened and didn't catch it.
The upgrade has made things more difficult for me
