I sure wish they planned this years FMCA like the last FMCA in Pomona. Then we were able to attend the Monaco rally Sat Thurs Tues and then Caravan to Pomona for the FMCA on Thur through Sun. One weeks vacation from work and two rallies.

Oh well, this year I'll have to chose one or the other. boo!

Well, the decision was made for me. My HR manager asked for the Monaco Rally week off to take her kids on vacation - I couldn't turn her down. So we will be attending the FMCA Pomona rally.

Since posting earlier in the discussion, we have also signed up for the FMCA rally in Pomona. In 20 years of RVing, this will be our first time. Heard/read lots of good things about their rallies.

It appears that we may be able to attend Pomona as well.

Brewers and I will overnight at casino at Indio Friday night and caravan in on Sat AM.

Sue and I will also be at the Indio Casino Friday evening.

I am not sure our Winnebago Itasca Suncruiser could pass for a Monaco--of any kind! Thanks for the invite though.Richard

Hi Richard,
While the thread topic says Monaco Pre rally, those of us meeting at the Indian Casino  on a Saturday in mid March are in line to go to the FMCA National Convention in Pomona.  Your rig fits the criteria of a motorhome.  It might be late to sign up  but that is where we are headed to shop!

I thought you guys were at the rally. But we still can't make it from Tucson in time for the shopping trip. Maybe next time.? :) Linda said she had a good time with you and Sue. In fact, we went back to some of the shops you visited but she still didn't buy anything.

BTW, the craft show which we stayed over for was a complete dud. Over half of the booths were the same as were at the RV Show and the others were not worth looking at, IMHO. Linda did buy a couple of Red Hat items.

Sharon and I will be at the Indio Casino Friday evening to meet ya'all.  We are supposed to be parked at Pamona on Sunday, but we are trying to get permission to come in with the group on Saturday.  This is our first FMCA Rally and actually our first big rally of any kind, so we can use all the help we can get.

Are there any special parking instructions for Indio that we need to be aware of?  How do you guys locate each other, or is it small enough to make finding each other easy?

Smoky, you may recall this message where I described the RV overnight area at the Spotlight 29 Casino.

For clarification, although it's being referred to as "the Indio Casino", it's actually in Coachella. I don't know if this is a suburb of Indio, but they spell it out as Coachella on their web site.
