1997 Fleetwood Tioga Montaro. Just recently acquired this unit. Fresh water has low pressure and slow flow  when using the pump. Can hear the pump running when turned on and get good pressure and flow when connected to city water.

Sometimes there is a screen filter between the tank and the pump or it may be part of the pump. Check it out. It may be clogged.

Your pump is unable to get enough water flow, likely for the reason Rene cited.    However, the water pump in the Tioga is probably not the greatest flow rate either, maybe only 2-3 GPM. A heftier pump would give better flow.

Most pumps have a filter on the input of the pump.  Usually, the filter can be removed without removing the pump or filter housing.  There are several styles, so I suggest looking at "pump filters" at your favorite RV parts web site so you have some idea what you are looking for and how to access the filter.

Mine was 90% clogged.  Pump was bad, too.
