My 2026 Ahara has the Furrion 16 cf fridge. The freezer is around zero and the fridge side hovers around 40 and does not respond to the controls. The cold boost on the fridge side does not make the compressor run. There is no airflow from the freezer to the fridge to
I'm on our first trip far from a dealer and apparently far from any mobile techs.

All of my research leads me to the assumption that the cause is the fan in the freezer and the control board.

I'm stuck as I have no tech available. I'm thinking of just replacing both parts without further diagnostics.

Any other suggestions and has anyone never had Lippert reimburse them for this type of emergency repair?

Thanks!

Yes, this is almost surely caused by lack of chilled airflow from freezer to fridge. Could be a failed fan or control, but could also be a blockage in the air path, e.g. ice build-up or something blocking the exit tube into the fridge area. Food or beverage spillage can be a factor too. I'm not familiar with the air flow in the Furion so can only cite possible conditions, but I've seen similar issues in Samsung & Frigidaire models.

I think it highly unlikely you will get a warranty reimbursement for components purchased without a firm diagnosis from an accredited service tech. You may be able to get some compensation for food loss or emergency alternatives (like a picnic cooler) but you should contact Furion for authorization ASAP.

Hi Gary . Thanks for the reply! Lippert/Furrion stepped up big time.

Apparently the fact that the one mobile tech I could get here where we are was unable to or unwilling to do diagnostics, they waived the formal diagnosis because there are no others that would come this far. We walked through the possibilities and they agreed to authorize the warranty repair be done by me and are shipping a newly designed control board and a replacement cooling fan. We're able to maintain 39ish in the fridge with the help of some 12volt fans...so
I'm feeling pretty lucky today.

The fact that there is a newly minted control board just available and not yet on their website tells me a lot.

Here's hoping. 🙂

Great! Kudo's to Furrion & Lippert for stepping up like that.

Yeah, the release of an upgraded board strongly suggests they are aware of the problem and have accepted responsibility to for.

For the record, the problem was neither the PCB nor the condenser fan (which they seemingly identified by mistake). Furrion has now shipped a freezer fan assembly which seems to be a promising possibility. They have been top both to deal with...and overnighted the freezer fan assembly at their cost. Interesting that the freezer fan assembly does not show up anywhere that I can find as a replacement part?
