In ref to your ad for toad charger:

If you ever find out where those 20 amps drawn are used, while key in ACC., let us know.

That is a mystery I can't wait to get answered.

PS No, I don't need the charger, sorry.

Nope, never tracked it down. But the car is an electronic marvel - everything is computer controlled and monitored and all that stuff is active in Accessory mode when towing. Dash lights are on too and there are enough of them for a 747. Still doesn't seem like it ought to be that much current draw, but the results show otherwise.

Haven't had a bit of trouble since I installed the cut-off switch for the 50A BATT1 circuit. Should have done that in the first place, I guess. Nancy does the car prep for towing and she likes the switch - says it is quick and easy.

I read that there is a recall for the airbag system. Supposedly it is responsible for the battery drain problem; does not recognize when car is shut down.

Just wondering if you are aware of it.

There was an airbag system recall just a year ago - Feb 23, 2007. Haven't heard of a current one, but I'll check around. I'm signed up to receive emails of any new recalls.
