Gary's Hospital Procedure and Recovery Update

I will probably miss a few days on the Forum this weekend. On Friday morning I go into the hospital to get the arteries on my right cleaned out so the blood will flow well again. The recovery time varies depending on how extensive the surgery ends up being, but I'll be back before too long.

nothing but good can be had from increase blood flow to the brain. had an uncle with cognitive issues and after the artery surgery it was night and day difference. doctor did make him give up drinking beer.
hope you experience improvement.

I had that surgery done on my right artery about 20 years ago. Not too painful.Good Luck!

I had that done on both legs. Recovery is not bad at all. You just have to take it easy for a week or so. They may also put you on blood thinners for a while.
If they recommend cardiac rehab, got for it. It will help get the circulation get back to almost normal.
The rehab is not intensive, but it does force you to use the parts of your body you have neglected.
Overall blood pressure and flow will get much better.
BTW, I actually miss the rehab. I had a great bunch of therapists and they monitored me the entire time.
