I was wandering if someone could tell me what gas mileage I could expect if I put a Lance 850 on a 2015 Silverado 2500 6.0 4:10 rear end and if you all think that this truck could handle this size camper? Sticker on truck says it will haul just under 3000 lbs. Was thinking I might get better mileage hauling the camper than pulling a small TT. If anyone has a Silverado with a 6.0 and hauls a truck camper I would like to know what mileage I might expect. Thanks if you can help me.

I don't have a truck camper but I would guess you'll be in the 10-12 MPG range

With a 2500 dry weight you honestly dont have enough truck for one.
But to answer your original question 8MPG is what you could expect.

Thank you for your replies. I can believe the 8 mpg I,ve got that pulling a TT and cattle trailers. I thought wind resistance might have a lot to do with it. I was hoping to find a way to get better mpg on longer trips. Maybe a lighter weight pop up. Thanks again.

Different truck.  Pulling my 36 foot fiver with my 6.7L cummins dually I got better fuel economy than my brother pulling an ultralite Jayco with his Ford ecoboost.  Its all about having the right tool for the job
