Members report fast-rising fuel costs across many regions, with regular gas commonly ranging from the high $2s in parts of Texas, Louisiana, and Indiana to roughly $5.00 or more in California. Diesel is running notably higher, with several reports in the $4.20 to $5.00 range in the U.S. and much higher in the UK. A few RVers shared route-specific numbers for Arizona, Florida, New York, Ohio, Oklahoma-bound travel, and Ontario, showing that location now matters more than ever when planning...

Paid gas $4.39 last week and $4.08 this week in Richmond, VA. Guess I got lucky because the price has been going up each week.

We've been on the road for the past 5 weeks. We're California based so when heading east, gas is always cheaper. But I've been surprised that it's not lower than I expected. From the Nevada side of the California/Nevada border where the price of gas dropped by about $1.00 it's gotten somewhat less expensive. It's been in the $4.50 range for most of the trip which included stations in Utah, Wyoming and So Dakota. The lowest I've seen is in Pierre SD. That was $4.19.
What surprised me the most in the Red State of So Dak. was a sticker someone placed on the pump with a picture of our Leader pointing to the price of diesel. The caption, "I did this".

Reno gasoline is now at ~$5.50 per gallon of 87. Reno gets its gasoline from CA and also has a local Reno tax added to it.

But in many places of CA, such as I-80 in the high Sierras, the gasoline is now around 8 bucks per gallon. Add a buck or so for Diesel. Places such as the standard gas station in Cisco Grove, CA and others in the Soda Springs area (above 6K feet elevation).

Here in Reno, Diesel was a buck per gallon less than 87 octane around a year ago. Now it is a buck more per gallon. I do not know why the ratio changed.

My Class A , left at my other home in Auburn, CA--has an 80-gallon fuel tank. I always have enough gas in it to drive to where the gasoline is a bargain by comparison to anywhere in CA or the Reno area.

As an update gas is down to $3.79 at the gas station I usually use near my house yesterday evening, but saw it as high as $4.19 in the general area at some gas stations last Friday though $3.99 is more common.

p..s Gasbuddy shows lowest price in town is $3.77 at Wal Mart

Just checked at my regular gas locations. I find this a little hard to believe but I'm going to fill up tomorrow so we'll see.

We are traveling back from Las Vegas to Iowa. So far the lowest gasoline we have seen is $4.19 in western New Mexico. We filled up the truck. Advertised diesel prices are all imaginary since we have a fleet card and so do all the truckers, but they have been $0.90-$1.20 more than the gasoline price along the interstates we are traveling. But I heard people expressing pain when I go into a grocery store or fast food location.

Just Filled Wife's Car, $3.79/g here, diesel just twenty miles up Hwy 100, $4.99

Still $5.55 here in Verdi, NV, as I charge up my Chevy Bolt here for free (10KW) ) as I have my dinner at Sierra Cafe. I can see the gasoline price from where I am sitting. Add a buck for Diesel, which used to be cheaper than gasoline here.

Coming back to Reno today, from I-80 I took the Virginia Exit to Sierra Blvd where there is a Standard gas station. They want $7.199 for 87 octane. More expensive than most places in CA. But here, the gasoline comes from CA.

But that is a prime location, just off the I-80 on the way to most of the casinos. Most gas stations in this area are more than a buck less.
