DOES FUEL PUMP RUN AFTER STARTUP?
Welcome to the forum.

Assuming you're talking about a fuel pump on the generator, it has to have something that pushes the fuel to the carburetor under pressure, or it'll stop running. I don't know about Generac, but Onans usually have sensors for low oil pressure, and maybe for low/missing voltage output, that will shut them down quickly. Also, the fuel pickup for a generator on an RV typically goes dry at about a quarter` tank of fuel, or so.

Perhaps more information will help you get a better answer, maybe what this generator is mounted in or used for (that model no. means nothing to me without hitting the web for info that you could find too), perhaps gasoline vs diesel, perhaps other relevant information.

Finally, USING ALL CAPS is usually considered shouting, and is more difficult to read than the more normal case usage found in books and magazines (and what you see here for the most part, too).

Just in case he ever comes back to read an answer....

The small electric fuel pump built into the gen set runs all the time that the genset is running.
It provides only about 4 lb. of pressure to the carb.
They are fairly noisy little units when pumping.
They pulse on and off as pressure is needed to supply fuel to carb.

If you are having fuel delivery issues... the number 1 first thing to check is that you have at least half a tank of fuel.  ;)

It'd be nice if those who post a question actually ask a question.
