Of course this pops up two days before we were planning to leave for Canada...
Genset starts and runs fine.
Puts out 127V on both 110 legs.
Clock on the microwave comes on.
Flat Screen TVs work fine.
Turn on any one of the A/Cs or the microwave and in about 10 seconds the Generator power shuts off.
Generator is still running. With a meter at the Genset... no current.
About 3 minutes later it starts producing current again.
But, if one turns on any high demand device the genset quits producing power.
Demand a load and the little red LED on the voltage regulator (brand new) goes off. No voltage on the lines on the genset side of the breakers.
Transfer switch works fine all the time.
Any help would be appreciated.
Know anybody that will work on a Generac between Florida and montreal?
