Purchased a low mileage 2004 Dodge Durango which I'm setting up to tow a small travel trailer. After, I get the Durango how I want it, I'll be looking for a well maintained TT. This forum has been a great resource for me.
Completed a 5,000 mile road trip in June. Girl friend and I packed up our 80 lb. Walker Hound, tent and other camping supplies and camped our way from Virginia to Denver in my large sedan. Yes, it was crowded. After a week in Denver, we headed to Montana to visit my daughters and grandsons. Also, visited Glacier and Yellowstone National Parks.
My favorite comment by my GF was "you don't realize how big the West is until you've driven 80 mph all day and haven't gotten anywhere." It was her first time in the West.
It was a trip of a lifetime. But, we decided that was the end of our camping in a tent. Our future camping will be "glaming" in an RV.
