We live near Anderson, Indiana and it got cold last night. Wind blowing, howling, thumping, and .... cold.

I checked the indoor-outdoor battery operated thermometer and at 6:30 this morning and it said -8.6. I thought, Ugg.... it really did get cold.

I told my wife what the temperature was and she said, on her phone it said 17 (above zero). I thought, well ... maybe the indoor-outdoor thermometer was on the blitz, so I went out to the truck and check. It was parked outside, not in the garage.

The truck said 17 degrees (above zero). I thought .... WHAT?

I went back inside and showed the indoor - outdoor thermometer to my wife and she said .... "What's this 'C' for after the temperature read out?"

I managed to turn my electronic ear thermometer into C and it took me ages to figure out how to change it back.

On the HS here they have the electronic display board. It was early morning and the board was saying 78*F. Weather channel and my truck both were saying around 54* - I wondered what was driving the temp gauge at the HS...

-25C here this morning

-45 in Dawson Creek wednessday morning
