This tank's valve and handle were replaced in 2021 or 2022. The valve works fine, however the cable appears to be stretching, as the rod attached to the handle now protrudes from the cable's sheath by a good inch while in the closed position.
Not a big deal, perhaps, but at some point it will begin to interfere with the hatch door.
I'd very, very much like not to have to opn the underbelly and replace the cable. Is there an adjustment to rectify this situation?

Cable or rod? The rod screws into the valve (And the hangle) suspect cable has rods at each end
May it just be unscrewing ????

John the OP says it has cables.
I had cables on my Montana and I hated them. Any little debris in the gate, the valve would not close and the handle would stick out.
With my layout I was able to remove the cable assembly from all the valves and run a rod connected to a standard valve through the frame and put the the handles on rod. This was 1000 times better
