Today we looked at Guadalupe River RV Resort in Kerrville, TX, with the idea of wintering there. Have you ever stayed at this park? If so, what did you think of it?

Thanks,
Jack and Liz

We stayed there in May and found it to be a nice campground. We stayed in an area left of the office overlooking a Valley. We were not interested in staying close to the river. In the evening a fairly large herd of deer came into that area of the campground, very pleasant. The CG had a nice pool, rec room and laundry. All were clean. As we left they opened a bar and grill on the premises.  We stayed a week and enjoyed it. Would go back in a minute.

If you go eat at Mamacitias (SIC) great food.

Enjoy

Nice place.  If you want a great steak, go to the Cowboy Steak House in Kerrville.  Best steaks I have ever had and I have dined @ Ruth Chris, Mortons of Chicago and Pappas Steak House.

Although it has been a few years since our last visit, we always enjoyed with our stays there. Clean, well maintained facilities and friendly staff. Lots of things to do in the area. Some have already mentioned good eating in Kerrville but don't forget Fredricksburg, there are some super German restaurants there. Destinations in the area we enjoyed were (among many others) : Enchanted Rock, LBJ's Home & Museum, The Sauer-Beckmann Farmstead (at the LBJ Museum), Stonehenge at Hunt,Texas (Check out the Easter Island Statues on the hillsides too), Fredricksburg, Comfort, and Boerne.
