Hi,

We were invited to a lunch party today. Unfortunately, after 45 days without rain, Mother Nature picked today to open up.

Al (the park owner) is delighted, the rest of us are COLD and WET - see attached

Go N to Romeo, turn right on CO 142 and when you get to Manassa you will find a small museum, that of the Manassa Brawler, William H" Jack Dempsey. If you know how cold it gets in the valley, you know why he fought his way out!

Ernie - Send some of that wet over here, we're dry, drier, driest.

Well I'll be coming to Antonito the latter part of July, hope its cool but could do without the white stuff. Do you have any suggestions on a campground?

We're staying at Canon Bonito. Small, secluded,  50A, water, sewer, and 1.3 miles of the Conejos river free to fish. Owners are very nice; provide a dinner most week ends. And the price is right ($12.50 a day, electric included, by the month).

Park dog, Buddy, runs free and sometimes chases the deer away: He didn't bother the bear last year tho  ;D -its that kind of a place.

Recommended,

Ernie

We'll be here until after the Fourth, anyone in the neighborhood,  please stop by.

Thanks for the reply Ernie, although we will only be staying 1 or 2 nights Canon Bonito sounds good.

In RVPark Reviews it looks like you will find it as Conejos River Campground. Ernie, was the name change in the off season?  I found the web site by searching and it is accessed via http://www.canonbonitorv.com/rv-rentals/ Sadly, the alt is too high for me.
