Have resisted the constant nagging from Harvest Host to "upgrade" from our Boondockers membership. Talking with some friends recently who have had pretty good experiences with what I think is a relatively new site (?) Hipcamp.

Makes me wonder if there's other such sites out there other than the main ones like ReserveAmerica, COE, and such.

May finally try to get away this summer for a trip and the more options one has the better.

Hipcamp I used once, and had an awful experience with a nutcase that was running a campsite.

Having said that we have a friend with a campsite on it and he is a lovely guy.

I bookmarked this one, it’s part of harvest host though

We've used Bookdockers a few times with pretty good results. But one place was feet from an railroad track and the host didn't mention that it was active. We figured it out ourselves as our first clue was the coach the the ground around shaking hard in the middle of the night with a very loud "roar" of a freight train. Other than that...

Harvest Host really bugs me with its never ending nags to "upgrade". My nature to resist such obnoxiousness even if might be a good option. Still pondering...
