I finally started working on my 86 Chieftain. Bother heater control valves are bad, the one on the engine, vacume controlled and the one in the back for the heater and it goes to the hot water heater. I have the motor-aid.

Does anyone know where I can get both of these? My local auto-parts place is useless and can't seem to find it doing a Google search. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Please describe ?bad? are they corroded froze up no vacuum? Have you taken them out to see if you can get them to work? Sometimes all they need is a little PB BLASTER (penetrating oil) to loosen them up.
You might look at replacing them with manual gate valves.

Google Evans Tempcon.com.    They supplied a lot of motorhome heater/AC controls.  I even called them once and got a very knowledgeable and pleasant person.

The rear one for the heat and it also goes to the water heater is corroded and leaks, looks like the front one was leaking too. I hope the heater core up front is good, guess I will find out once I get the control valves replaced. I think I am going to pull the radiator and have it dipped, it is looking pretty bad. Thanks for the tip. I will give them a call on Monday.
