Welcome to the forums and congrats on getting your new camper / RV. I hope you have great success with it.

I'm (almost) your neighbor. My home is in Indiana, but we spend most of the year in Louisiana where I volunteer as a camp host (St. Francisville area).

Well, he is in LA you know............. Lower Alabama.

May I suggest a good place or two to try out the motorhome. Dauphin Island Alabama. I have been twice, and really want to get back there soon.

Ft. Pickens at Pensacola FL...... and Big Lagoon State Park on the west side of Pensacola Naval Air Station (good access to the Naval Aviation Museum).

And a little closer to you, White Oak Creek Campground, just off of US 431 south of Eufaula AL, its a Corp of Engineer Campground.

Thank you for the information, I am very familiar with all of the suggestions, just getting started and in a week or so will be spending time at White Oak on our shake down run. All suggestions are welcome.
