Hello from Alaska

We just bought a used Gulfstream Conquest 6280 Class C motorhome. We take delivery in April, 2025. My wife is retiring next year and I am already retired, so we plan to spend our time exploring Alaska and the Yukon.

We’ve been to Fairbanks. Flew in from King Salmon when I worked for Mark Air. If I remember correctly there was a huge stuffed polar bear in the lobby.

Good old Mark Air. Swallowed up the wife and my dividend check the year they folded. We were left with 6 round trip vouchers anywhere they fly, which was nowhere!

Mark Air was a subsidiary of Alaska Air so it seems you should have been able to get some relief from them.
I was a p/t baggage handler. Packed a bunch of bear heads and hides, moose and elk antlers and boxes of salmon in the bellies of airplanes.

We have camped in every State in the US except California and Hawaii before we moved to Alaska 40 years ago. Even though we have lived and camped in Alaska for 40 years, there are still a lot of places we haven’t been to in Alaska. We plan on exploring almost every road in Alaska, even the more remote roads like the Dalton Highway. If we do a trip to the lower 48, it would be back to Ohio, Tennessee and Texas to visit relatives and that would be about a 10,000 mile trip that would cost us about $5000.00.

Check out YouTube RV'er "Traveling Robert". Summer of 2023 he spent 3 + months traveling almost everywhere you could in Alaska.

Come on , we've all seen his wonders in the air wether it's with the red baron or just flying about. Just takes him a bit to get going at times. Maybe he just had to trim the bush up a bit.
