Slide rubs on carpet, causing carpet to pull up and stain - see pic. How can I fix this and stop it from getting worse? Thanks so much!

That carpet lip is designed to lay on the main floor and cover the gap underneath. Looks like it may be dragging a bit more than necessary and getting tucked under it as the slide moves in? You may be able to adjust the slide tilt angle a tiny bit to raise the front edge more as it retracts. That's not technically difficult if its a rack & pinion slide mechanism, but some mechanical experience is helpful to identify which adjustment nuts to turn and how far. You can screw it up rather badly if not careful.

How about trying something simple first, i.e. wax the floor? If the carpet slips easily across the vinyl plank, it won't tuck under anymore.

If you do try to make any adjustments take some measurements now beforehand just so that you can go back to the original starting point

Good reminder, Rene! Since the rack & pinion slide mechanical adjustment is a matter of loosening or tightening nuts on the positioning bolts, you can keep a log of how many turns up/down you make on each. Don't just assume you will remember - after a couple trial & error adjustments it's too easy to lose track.

Go to Walmart and get a $5 sacrificial throw rug to protect the carpet when you bring the slide in.
