HELLO,

I?M NEW TO RVing AND I LOVE IT!
I HAVE A 2004 CLASS B MOTORHOME (FOREST RIVER).  HOWEVER, I AM PLUGGED INTO SURE POWER (30AMP) MY LIGHTS KEEP DIMMING ( AFTER ABOUT AN HOUR).  ALSO, MY REFRIGERATOR STOPS WORKING AFTER ABOUT AN HOUR) THE OUTLETS, MICROWAVE, AND AC WORK GREAT.

WHEN I START MY ENGINE EVERYTHING BRIGHTENS UP! REFRIGERATOR STARTS TO WORK GREAT AND LIFE IS GOOD AGAIN.

THANKS IN ADVACE FOR YOUR HELP ( MONEY IS TIGHT)

Welcome to the forum.

The problem is probably in your convertor that charges the battery or batteries that power the DC for your light and other 12 volt functions.

When you start your engine you are probably getting 12 volt power from the altenator .

You might also have weak or bad batteries that would also cause the same symptom.

Welcome to the RV Forum Cedricshelby

The things that are working run off 120 volts. (The refrigerator runs off 120 volts but uses 12 volts to run the circuit board)

Sounds like your 12 volt system is not working check your breaker box for a breaker for the converter.

Please don't use all caps...It hard to read  and people tend to view it as shouting

Have your batteries load tested. My bet is they are bad.

Another thing, there is no reason to post in several sections. If you post a question in a section and one of the staff members feels it will get better exposure in another, they'll move it for you.
