Here in Maine

The friendliest place on the web for anyone with an RV or an interest in RVing!

Where I live in Muskoka, the mainstay of our economy is tourism. Most of the main street restaurants and shops have now been closed for weeks, and probably wont be allowed to reopen for at least a month. When they are allowed to open again, there will be no tourists, which is what they depend on to keep the doors open. I fear many main streets are going to be business graveyards after all this.

The communists and socialists love this sort of thing. It affords them the opportunity to enact powers not normally seen in a free society.

The no campground policy is really bad for full timers. I'm sure the Governor and his staff didn't realize the impact. Actually, it's quite easy to self-isolate in most RV campgrounds I've seen.

Please keep the politics out of the discussion.  It doesn't really do much that is helpful.

Sorry to offend you. I spent more than 30 years of my life in the service to help defend our rights as free citizens living under a constitution that supports that way of life.

By the way. I was born and raised in Maine.

Not offended.  It's just one of the rules that members agree to when signing up.

By the way, we were in Maine 3 years ago.  Beautiful state.  Just a bit far from our base.  About 3,000 miles as the crow flies.  Still, if the opportunity arises, we'll be back.
