I disagree; this whole thread is questioning if this is a legit business or a scam. It seems very appropriate that I drop off my camper and in return receive a rubber check. I am still hoping that it is just a glitch but as of now I delivered the camper and signed over the title, deposited the check in my bank account on Friday and the amount today (Tuesday) is showing "pending chargeback item" and the amount deducted from my available balance.
Hi. This is Sam, the owner of HeyRV. I wish I had seen this post sooner so I could resolve it myself, and I'm honestly a bit I'm surprised to see this post, because on the rare occasions that there are issues with payment my staff is instructed to notify me personally. This is (obviously) a very serious matter and I want to make sure it was resolved and you received your funds.
For full transparency: when we pay with a standard company check, often times the check will have to be deposited at the teller and you will have to wait for the funds to clear. In most cases the funds will be in your account within 1 banking day. But depending on your bank the bank may not cash it at the teller. Also, fyi to anyone reading this, check cashing companies may or may not cash our checks (sometimes they call us to verify the check, and then they cash it, but sometimes they refuse to do that). Our checks are
designed to be deposited in your account, not cashed at the teller. If you plan to do business with us AND also plan on cashing the check (vs depositing it), please let our agents know so we can make alternative arrangements. For example, we can issue a certified check (aka cashiers check), which can be cashed anywhere (since the funds are "certified"), but this typically slows down our pickup process by 2-3 days, so we ask that you be patient with us.
Regarding this post, I would very much appreciate it if you reply letting us know what happened. I assume you were paid in full because our entire staff is trained to understanding the importance and urgency of payment issues. This issue should have been escalated up the management chain.
If on the off chance there is still an issue, please call us on our main line and ask for Sam "the owner of the company", and tell them I told you to call me on the RV Forum website.
Thank you again for trusting us with your business and I'm sorry if there was an inconvenience along the way.
