My boyfriend and I have been dreaming/planning/preparing to start fulltime RVing for the past couple of years now. We are fed up of the high cost of living and can't imagine only getting a couple weeks of 'vacation' a year until we retire. We are young, I am 24 and he is 28. We knew we had to find another way of living and discovered full timing. Ever since then our life has been about making this happen.
I'm happy to announce that a couple weeks ago we finally bought our first RV, a 1988 Fleetwood Bounder! It's actually in really good condition, although the interior could use some updating. We plan on painting, reupholstering furniture, making new curtains and creating better storage. I've been looking at lots of renovated RV's online and am getting very inspired! I can't believe how good some of them look with a few simple upgrades.
Our plan is to spend our summers working at campgrounds in Canada (were Canadian) and saving enough money each summer to be able to spend our winters in the south (Arizona, California, Florida). While living in the states we will also be making money through various ways online.
Tonight something very exciting happened- After doing some phone interviews for summer positions, we got a call and were offered a full time summer job in Alberta! We actually will be leaving in 7 weeks. This leaves us very little time to get ready, renovate the RV and tie up all our loose ends here. It will be a hectic 7 weeks but totally worth it.
Anyway, I just wanted to introduce myself, seems like a great forum to be a part of and I'm looking forward to reading lots of helpful information.
I've attached a picture of our RV too. Take care everyone!!
