Hi everyone,
We just got a 2005 American Coach Tradition last month and are going full time the first of June.  Just busy reading and getting the MH ready by getting things fixed, upgrading the electronics and selling/getting rid of all of our junk!

It really is amazing how much crap you have and we really thought we were downsizing all this time!

Enjoy reading all the topics you guys post, thanks!

Jeff

Welcome to the Forum, Jeff!

Getting rid of all your "stuff" is a daunting task - the longer you are at it, though, the easier it becomes! Having made the decision to move forward into full timing, everything else seems to be part of the view in the rear view mirror.

We did the same thing three years ago and have not regretted a day. Here's to great adventures!

Welcome to the forum!

We started fulltime from Lakewood CO last June and do not regret a minute of it. It was hard for us to get out of the "vacation mode" and really start RV living. So, I will give you some advise.

You are retired and there is no hurry to get anywhere. TRavel the back roads. Stop often and stay a while.

Welcome to the lifestyle !! We full timed for 11 years and are now snowbirds in Palisade CO (abuts Grand Junction).
If you get close to Palisade, stop by and say hi. We have a RV site available for visitors.

Welcome from Denver!

We are not full timers but we do spend as much time as possible in the rig.

Thanks everyone, we are definitely heeding the "slow down and look around a while" advise and not get in a hurry.  We're already going to stay for 2 months down my Austin to see the grandkids this fall/winter.  It's a La Hacienda which is a park we loved when we stayed there before.

any more advise?  Down to 5 weeks before we hit the road in June!  having garage sales every weekend and when combined with Craig's list we've go a lot of crap shed!

cheers!

Jeff

BTW Kim, we LOVED the Damon Tuscany when we were looking! I know you are enjoying that rig!

We do, indeed! Which part of Colorado are you in? We come through in the spring and back out in the fall! Always looking for good references! Interestingly, we almost bought a 2007 Tradition in Colorado Springs on the way out two years ago!

Another from Colorado here. Just joined the site yesterday. We are in the rig about 6 mos. of the year for work, and a little in the summer for fun. It's good to see all the Coloradans on here :)
